Sunday School

Welcome to St. Saviour’s Sunday School! The Sunday School is led by Grant Bolton-Debbage, Children's Ministry & Pastoral Assistant, supported by several parents of children currently attending the Sunday School. Children of all ages, from toddlers right through primary are welcome. There are three dedicated groups to cater for different ages and abilities, and activities include:- - Bible story time and prayer - worship with singing and musical instruments - creative play with take-home crafts Sunday School meets in the Octagon Church Hall adjoining the church, during the 9.30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist. The children remain with their parents in church for the first hymn, leaving for the Octagon Hall after the first prayer. They rejoin the church service in time to join their parents to go up to the altar for a blessing. We ask for one parent of very young children, i.e. those in the crèche group, to remain with their child in the Octagon Hall. The Sunday School also joins together in occasional social events, such as the summer picnic and a firework party in November. See our Contact page for Grant's contact details if you wish for more information or to discuss your child's needs.
Young Parents Group The Young Parents Group is primarily a social group. Helen Nicholson hosts a regular coffee morning at the Vicarage to which parents, usually accompanied by their toddlers, are invited. |
